I've taken melatonin in the past to help getting to sleep, and have done so again last night and tonight. However I don't like taking it all the time as no one really knows the long term effects of doing so.
It is doubtful anyone will ever conduct a large scale study to find out, either. Since melatonin is a naturally occurring substance, it can't be patented and sold at a premium, so there's no sense in spending research dollars on it. I'd like to hear from anyone who has had good or bad experiences though, thanks!

I took melatonin supplements for a while in order to try and counteract my insomnia, and I must say that I have nothing but good things to say about it. It would help me get to sleep quickly, but didn't leave me groggy and tired the next day.
