New Mattress

I'm getting a new mattress which I'm pretty pumped about considering my old one has been out of commission for a while now. I usually end up passing out on the couch and waking up feeling sorry I did. Little did I know mattress shopping isn't as easy as you'd think. Its like buying a car, they're all different and you usually have to test drive it to find out which one is for you. I'm debating on picking up a posturepedic. It'll cost me an arm and a leg, but I figure you spend about a third of your lifetime sleeping so you might as well enjoy it. I'm going down to the Sleepy's which just moved into the old Blockbuster Retail Video Store in town, to check out their selection and see what they have.

I was also surprised how expensive a good mattress is. I bought my queen size mattress from Building 19 a few years ago, and it was a decent deal. I think it cost between $400-600 dollars, and the box spring was much less, around $50-100 if I recall correctly.

I also bought a simple bed frame at the time, which was a first for me. PReviously I had simply put my mattress on the floor. I remember telling my grandfather at the time that with that step of buying a bed frame I was getting civilized. He told me not to get TOO civilized. :-)
